the last post was back in sg. why so fast i havent eaten enough yet :(
ive been rather moody the last few days. dont really know why too. new house, settling in and all i guess. and some stuff have been just bugging me.
on an up side, im really glad some ppl are here. zhu helped me move my stuff :) :) :) and was really glad to hear anthony's voice on free o2-to-o2 hahaha. old friends will always have this stability and familiarity i guess :)
hope this yr will be great! its my last yr afterall :D:D

hello im back!
and im gorging myself!! :D:D:D
my entire family says ive lost weight even though some ppl like jenhan did ask me if ive put on weight but anw since im back im determined to eat non stop!!
yesterday i ate:
-gma's fishball soup for lunch
-bugis's fish soup for lunch
-shaker fries frm macs
-nasi lemak for...tea?
-bubble tea :D
-prawn mee for dinner
-yee mee for supper
-hokkien mee for supper

im so sick of this
i just want to go home. 2 more weeks 2 more weeks urgh.
urgh urgh urgh.
dont get me wrong, my colleagues are great, i like my work and i like ny. its just....ive had enough. and i havent been home in nearly 7 months i want to go home.
thinking happy thoughts, i watched phantom again last night. music was great, as usual. just that since its my third time watching, i really hated christine in this phantom. didnt like her voice at all she totally butchered my favourite song urgh. but phantom and raoul were really really good, esp phantom... standing tickets suck though. its dirt cheap but i was so tired i cldnt enjoy it properly throughout the entire show.
ok. tired. dinner later w colleagues yippees!

our town

i just went to watch our town today!! love it!! even though i paid freaking alot for it cos i was on the waiting list and got the LAST TICKET WOOHOO but i really liked it! i guess also cos i really liked the book back in sec 2 when i was doing lit :) was really teary at the end of it hahaha
went to watch it myself! i always thought it'd be weird to watch sth on my own, but i actually really do like alone time sometimes. it can be scary (like i might get lost seeing how clueless i am at directions) but i did enjoy myself today hahaha. was talking to someone who was on the waiting list too, pity she didnt manage to get the ticket :S being alone is a great opportunity to meet new ppl! :D

fav new song!
blah blah blah. im really excited for mayday concert on 29th!! its my first concert ever!! (not counting the blah third eye blind free concert i went to in central park 2 wks ago)
and im starting to really really miss home. 3 more wks!! i can do it jiayou jilyn!! went to philly today, was damn bored and tired. tired of all the travelling and seeing the same old things. owell im gg to the BRONX ZOO tmr though hahahaha with my boss and her cute kids!! :D:D hope it'd be fun!
and then hopefully nua nxt wkend (and maybe see statue of liberty i havent seen it upclose yet lol) and off to niagara falls w lynn & chorming & ben on the last wkend!!...and then BACK HOMEEEE BOOO I WANT TO GO HOME :'(

feeling like crap now.
maybe its cos im halfway tru, and i have a month more to go, and i had a horrible convo today and i started thinking too much.
here, i cant talk to zy much cos of time difference/ webcam keeps not turning on/ skype quality sucks. i cant talk to mummy without feeling exasperated half of the time cos skype quality sucks. im starting to miss home again booooo. being away is one thing, not being able to talk is another. :(
hate the uncertainty, how everything hinges on next year.
hate not being able to feel that way anymore urgh.

<3 nyc!
coney island on independence day eve! was quite fun heehee i took the scariest ferry wheel ever in my life!! the carriage actually swings in mid-air like the viking does! :S totally not a fan of scary rides but it was quite cool hahaha..
gosh i look so tanned beside clara!! spain really fried me gah!
clara's gone back to texas:( so theres one less person in the office now bleah
independence day was quite slack! went to central park to sit around and walk around, then went to some street fair and then off to watch fireworks. some of them were quite cool! like it was 26min long and there were interesting things like smiley faces hahaha.
it was so freaking crowded and the police kinda cordoned off some areas. i tink if someone there had swine, it will be a massive community spread lol. better eat more vitamins hahaha.
speaking of swine, its really non-existant here as in noone cares. noone wears masks or takes temperatures etc. if i didnt know theres swine here, i wldnt have guessed that some massive flu was spreading tru the city at all.
went to woodbury common, a supposedly realyreally good outlet just 2 days ago and it was...ok la. sales werent that great:( didnt buy much bleah. but it was a good experience hahaha vincent and kristi were shocked that ben and i spent 12 freaking hrs there and yet spent so little. i guess we really stingy w our money seeing tt we didnt exactly bring much lol.
oh oh i went boston last wkend! met up with minishin and loads others there! boston is so clean and nice! ben and i totally went crazy at this market there:S the market was closing and so everything was going at insanely cheap prices. like strawberry was 1usd for 4 boxes?! compare this to ny's 1 box at 3usd!!! we lugged fruits and veggies all the way from boston to ny. grocery shopping in another state HAHAHA. and minishin was sooo nice to bring us ard:D shes coming up to ny nxt wk!!!:D:D
went to watch a shakespeare play (king lear) yesterday in battery park. the concept was quite cool cos the audience had to move around the park and castle with the actors. so it wasnt just sitting at one location but moving from grass patch to grass patch hahaha. but i was more interested in the fireflies that lighted up the park when it got dark! super pretty!!:D:D:D shakespeare is hard to understand :( :( sigh i really wanted to watch twelfth night at central park cos i loveeee that play but but but tickets are so freaking hard to get!!!:'( theres anne hathaway as viola!! urgh!!

update!
ohhh im finally a little free to blog!
welllll after amsterdam i was getting a little stressed, hunting for accommodation both in new york and for london nxt yr. was a real pain. really wanted to stay in lizman's, but i guess in the end we really didnt have a choice. but on the bright side, we're gg to move to scala house, a damn atas ($) place and jin's hse and eejean's hse will be on the same floor as us!!! which im quite excited and pleased about :):):) only thing not so great is tt i dont have an ensuite anymore, which im not exactly happy about boohoo. hopefully nxt yr my hse will be cleaner hahaha
ok in between settling accommodation, i went to southern france and spain, which was really great!:D too lazy to blog about the trips, but southern france is the most relaxing place ever!! or maybe just the ppl i went with lol. me jean and chu were supppeeeeer chill. we didnt plan anything at all, just walked around and ate where we felt like etc, chilled on the beach, walked around the old town, tried to find lavender fields (but failed) hahaha. love it! slept damn alot on the trip too!!
spain was...an experience. LOL. barca was interesting with loads of gaudi stuff! madrid was really interesting cos we went to watch BULL FIGHTING which was about the most sadistic thing ive ever seen mygosh. i didnt know they will torment and torture the bull so slowly before it dies. and it was quite bloody too. in the few hrs we were there, they killed 6 bulls!!! where do they find so many bulls to kill gosh!! granada had the alhambra which was pretty grand and really different from the rest of the palaces ive been to. seville was just. o.m.g. freaking hot. it was freaking 44degrees at 5pm, and then at 8pm it was 42degrees i felt like i was being roasted alive just standing in the sun GOSHHHH.
ok tired of blogging of my hols now lol. trying to upload photos of spain on fb now.
and now, im in NEW YORK. LOL. love it here!! hotel room is GREAT and my work's interesting too!! ok of cos theres still the basic research work but then today i went out of ny into connecticut for some demonstration cum meeting and it was really interesting!! didnt go around much of connecticut, apart from doing grocery cum target shopping before doing a cooking demo LOL we cooked 5 dishes in abt an hr!! hahaha quite proud of it :D
OH OH and i watched the LITTLE MERMAID last night with clara! lovvveeeeeee it!! i love disney princesses hahaha and ariel (and belle) are my favouriteessss :D:D and flounder was so cute gosh!!
haha ok shall go do up the minutes for the meeting and maybe go slp early for once! :D
