<3 nyc!

coney island on independence day eve! was quite fun heehee i took the scariest ferry wheel ever in my life!! the carriage actually swings in mid-air like the viking does! :S totally not a fan of scary rides but it was quite cool hahaha..



gosh i look so tanned beside clara!! spain really fried me gah!
clara's gone back to texas:( so theres one less person in the office now bleah

independence day was quite slack! went to central park to sit around and walk around, then went to some street fair and then off to watch fireworks. some of them were quite cool! like it was 26min long and there were interesting things like smiley faces hahaha.



it was so freaking crowded and the police kinda cordoned off some areas. i tink if someone there had swine, it will be a massive community spread lol. better eat more vitamins hahaha.

speaking of swine, its really non-existant here as in noone cares. noone wears masks or takes temperatures etc. if i didnt know theres swine here, i wldnt have guessed that some massive flu was spreading tru the city at all.

went to woodbury common, a supposedly realyreally good outlet just 2 days ago and it was...ok la. sales werent that great:( didnt buy much bleah. but it was a good experience hahaha vincent and kristi were shocked that ben and i spent 12 freaking hrs there and yet spent so little. i guess we really stingy w our money seeing tt we didnt exactly bring much lol.

oh oh i went boston last wkend! met up with minishin and loads others there! boston is so clean and nice! ben and i totally went crazy at this market there:S the market was closing and so everything was going at insanely cheap prices. like strawberry was 1usd for 4 boxes?! compare this to ny's 1 box at 3usd!!! we lugged fruits and veggies all the way from boston to ny. grocery shopping in another state HAHAHA. and minishin was sooo nice to bring us ard:D shes coming up to ny nxt wk!!!:D:D



went to watch a shakespeare play (king lear) yesterday in battery park. the concept was quite cool cos the audience had to move around the park and castle with the actors. so it wasnt just sitting at one location but moving from grass patch to grass patch hahaha. but i was more interested in the fireflies that lighted up the park when it got dark! super pretty!!:D:D:D shakespeare is hard to understand :( :( sigh i really wanted to watch twelfth night at central park cos i loveeee that play but but but tickets are so freaking hard to get!!!:'( theres anne hathaway as viola!! urgh!!

ohhh im finally a little free to blog!

welllll after amsterdam i was getting a little stressed, hunting for accommodation both in new york and for london nxt yr. was a real pain. really wanted to stay in lizman's, but i guess in the end we really didnt have a choice. but on the bright side, we're gg to move to scala house, a damn atas ($) place and jin's hse and eejean's hse will be on the same floor as us!!! which im quite excited and pleased about :):):) only thing not so great is tt i dont have an ensuite anymore, which im not exactly happy about boohoo. hopefully nxt yr my hse will be cleaner hahaha

ok in between settling accommodation, i went to southern france and spain, which was really great!:D too lazy to blog about the trips, but southern france is the most relaxing place ever!! or maybe just the ppl i went with lol. me jean and chu were supppeeeeer chill. we didnt plan anything at all, just walked around and ate where we felt like etc, chilled on the beach, walked around the old town, tried to find lavender fields (but failed) hahaha. love it! slept damn alot on the trip too!!

spain was...an experience. LOL. barca was interesting with loads of gaudi stuff! madrid was really interesting cos we went to watch BULL FIGHTING which was about the most sadistic thing ive ever seen mygosh. i didnt know they will torment and torture the bull so slowly before it dies. and it was quite bloody too. in the few hrs we were there, they killed 6 bulls!!! where do they find so many bulls to kill gosh!! granada had the alhambra which was pretty grand and really different from the rest of the palaces ive been to. seville was just. o.m.g. freaking hot. it was freaking 44degrees at 5pm, and then at 8pm it was 42degrees i felt like i was being roasted alive just standing in the sun GOSHHHH.

ok tired of blogging of my hols now lol. trying to upload photos of spain on fb now.

and now, im in NEW YORK. LOL. love it here!! hotel room is GREAT and my work's interesting too!! ok of cos theres still the basic research work but then today i went out of ny into connecticut for some demonstration cum meeting and it was really interesting!! didnt go around much of connecticut, apart from doing grocery cum target shopping before doing a cooking demo LOL we cooked 5 dishes in abt an hr!! hahaha quite proud of it :D

OH OH and i watched the LITTLE MERMAID last night with clara! lovvveeeeeee it!! i love disney princesses hahaha and ariel (and belle) are my favouriteessss :D:D and flounder was so cute gosh!!



haha ok shall go do up the minutes for the meeting and maybe go slp early for once! :D

spent the last...4hrs?? settling spain stuff. ok fine, spain settled now.
now im rushing against time to settle new york accommodation and flights cos ben is flying off tmr afternoon and we need to get everything done by then. its almost impossible to find a hotel near our office, with kitchen and with internet. someone HELP :'( :'(
and then theres my london house too. i honestly really really really want someone to fill up the freaking room ARGH. if not the hunt for housing in london starts too. and the packing omg. omgomgomgoshhhhhhhh :(:(:(
lastly, france hostels and trains and attractions. no clue. 3 more days. great.

on the other hand, zy has found a job!! yippeeee yippeee yay!! but it also means less time to talk to me these 3 days and im flying off for 15days straight :'(

and ill only be back in singapore in mid aug........sobz :'(

Keukenhof- quite a disappointment actually, even though the flowers seem pretty from photos, but actually most of them have already died so there were very very little flowers left:( owell but the remaining flowers were still really pretty though!! n cant help it la, flowering season in april, mugging season also april!! how to go then?!:(


we rented a bike and cycled for hrs into the countryside! and finally reached a beach! super fun to cycle in the countryside, i like!!


2nd day, took a train out to Zannes Schans to visit windmills, clog factories, cheese factories etc. suuuuper touristy place hahaha but i loved the scenery and the windmills! pretty!!! weather in the afternoon was so perfect too! :)


in amsterdam itself: iamsterdam outside rijksmuseum, one of the many canals, van gogh museum, red light district! van gogh museum was interesting!! first museum i actually was quite interested in heeheehee

i love nature! and big plains of greens! im v excited that anthonychan is coming over to london nxt yr cos theres one more person who likes nature too heeheehee!! one more person to go on random hikes with!

in fact, if im too stressed out this wk settling stuff, i might just hop on a train to the countrysideee wheee! was checking out national trust just now n there are sooo many interesting places to go!! im just picking places i wont get lost too easily HAHAHA so tt i can go myself!:D

but now im just going to nua till the end of today before chionging to settle stuff and relax (chiong to relax hahaha) the nxt wk before heading off to france/spain.

jin said he saw zhang ziyi in cannes film fest!! super envious :'(

one wk before i fly to southern france for 5 days, back for a night before heading off to spain for another 10days and then back for 4days before going off to newyork for 2 mths! gosh. sounds crazy. and in between i still have loads to settle:(:(

now...just let me nua awhile first hahahahaha. stayed in bed the ENTIRE day. skipped lunch cos i was too lazy to cook/get out of the house to buy. luckily mark dabao-ed dinner back.

i dont want to moveeeee. the idea of packing and moving is now...repulsive. i have no time dont wanna pack my 3924809328409234things like last yr again. horrors of horrors. while searching for flats this afternoon, i was reminded of how horrible the period was last yr. pls let the last room in the house be filled up :'( :'(

exams are finally over. tried by best, mugged super hard, but i still found it super hard:(
grrr..dont want to talk abt exams anymore :(

for now, its off to amsterdam, maybe dorset, south france and then spain (if swine doesnt engulf it by then)
and then try to settle housing and internship stuff.
so much stuff :'(

kind of regret going to chiong amsterdam immediately now. after my labour paper today, i just want to crawl into bed n sleep for eons. but im leaving for the airport in abt 5hrs...:S

we havent been celebrating birthdays lately. guess cos im in london n im nt usually ard for jan and ant's bday anymore. owell so the nxt bday to celebrate tgt is....MINE!! hahahaha :p
